Therapy (one-on-one and group)
Aim: The aim will address personal issues that affect self esteem and confidence in young girls. Some sessions will be one-on-one while others will be in group form. The group sessions will be an opportunity to allow other girls to learn from each other’s experience in the matter in which they deal with issues which are all shared by young women.
Sports And Recreation (OzTag, Boxcercise, Camp)
Aim: Sports and recreation will be developed with the aim of having the organisation’s own Oz tag team. This aspect of the project will focus on encouraging young women to take up sports and learn the value of health and fitness. The sports and recreation will also address the importance of eating healthy and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including motivating them to realise the potential that they carry.
Camp: Camp will focus on establishing new relationships, the importance group work, leadership and independence while simultaneously collaborating with others who carry different views. The camp is an opportunity for young girls to learn communication skills and learn more about themselves as leaders.
Self-Empowerment Workshops And ‘Touching The Heart’ (Hospital, Nursing Homes, Gisability Care Centre Visits.)
Aim: The aim of these workshops is to encourage young women how to value themselves and how to contribute to society and the potential they carry. Teaching them their value will encourage them to experience the various contributions that can make to their wider communities including leadership skills, volunteering, building careers and giving back to the communities to encourage further development and progress.
